Genting — A Decade of AV at Altitude

Designing, building and still maintaining the AV network behind Malaysia’s most visited resort.

Client: Genting Malaysia — Resorts World Genting · Scope: design, supply, installation and maintenance of AV backend and AV network · Environments: indoor theme park, outdoor theme park, SkyAvenue, Sky Casino, Genting Highlands Premium Outlets · Relationship: delivery partner since 2015 · AV network consultant since 2022 · maintenance & support contract since 2022, renewed 2023

The Challenge

A mountaintop resort that welcomes millions of visitors a year is one of the harshest AV environments imaginable: vast distributed venues, outdoor weather, round-the-clock operation, and audiences who notice instantly when a screen, a speaker or a show system stumbles. Every attraction, mall and casino floor depends on an AV backbone that simply cannot go quiet.

And unlike a ballroom or a boardroom, a theme park cannot “reschedule the meeting” — showtime is every hour, every day.

The Solution

  • Designed for the environment — AV backend architecture engineered for distributed, high-footfall venues across the resort, from the indoor theme park to SkyAvenue and the casino floors.
  • Built and handed over by the same team — supply and installation by the engineers who designed it, so nothing is lost between drawing and deployment.
  • Maintained for the long run — a standing maintenance and support contract keeps the AV network healthy year after year, with our consultants continuously advising on its evolution since 2022.

The Outcome

A partnership measured in renewals: delivery work since 2015, consultancy since 2022, and a maintenance contract renewed in 2023 — nearly a decade of keeping the show running at 1,800 metres. Long relationships like this are the real case study: clients do not renew vendors who let them down.
